INLINE BOX - STEEL BEAM JOINING DEVICE |
INLINE BOXES are fully calculated and tested to extreme loads. They provide a simple alternative to in-line beam connections It is essential that the installer is familiar with the following information and instructions: 1. Use INLINE BOX with the correct beam sizes as indicated. Never exceed the safe working loads and application as specified by a qualified structural engineer. 2. INLINE BOX must be used only to join beams in cantilever most commonly within 150mm of load bearing walls or posts. Under no circumstances should they be used for open span beam splice connections. (Fig 1) 3. Ensure beam contact with the end walls of the INLINE BOX. Secure to beams with bolts uppermost, pinch tight. 4. The two halves of the INLINE BOX are connected together using the two M20 bolts provided. These bolts must be horizontally in-line and tightened to max torque of 492Nm. fig 2 5. INLINE BOXES are heavy. Exercise caution when lifting all heavy loads. 6. INLINE BOXES must be used for the intended application only. Misuse or deviation from the above instructions may prove dangerous. |
