TEE BOX - STEEL BEAM JOINING DEVICE |
TEE BOXES are fully calculated and tested to extreme loads. They provide a simple alternative beam connections at 90 degrees It is essential that the installer is familiar with the following information and instructions: 1. Use TEE BOX with the correct beam sizes as indicated. Never exceed the safe working loads and application as specified by a qualified structural engineer. 2. Introduce the open ended section fig.1 along the supporting beam prior to its installation. Locate in the desired position with bolts uppermost, pinch tight. 3. The closed end section of the TEE BOX is then introduced onto the end of the intersecting beam with bolts uppermost, pinch tight fig 2. Ensure beam contact with the end wall of the TEE BOX 4. The two sections of the TEE BOX are connected together using the desired adjustment holes with the two M20 bolts provided. These bolts must be horizontally in line and tightened to max torque of 492Nm. fig 3. 5. TEE BOXES are heavy. Exercise caution when lifting all heavy loads. 6. TEE BOXES must be used for the intended application only. Misuse or deviation from the above instructions may prove dangerous. |
