From July 1st 2014, it was a legal requirement that all products used in construction, including STeel and Aluminium products, be 'CE Marked'. Following the UK's exit from the European Union, this has now been updated to the UKCA mark. All steel or aluminium products purchased from Denmay Steel that are to be used in construction will be supplied UKCA Marked up to Execution Class 2. With your order you will receive a Certificate of UKCA Marking and a Declaration of Performance, these two documents can be used to prove that the steelwork carries a valid UKCA mark.

It is important to use a supplier that is UKCA compliant, as it is a criminal offence to install Structural Steelwork that is not UKCA compliant. It is possible that trading standards could force the removal of non conforming products from a building or structure, even if the project has been completed.
